Oh, Christmas Tree!

Today was our family tree gathering and decorating.  It is a beauty!  Katniss is enjoying a nap in one of her favorite chairs which is now covered with a Christmas quilt that I made a few years ago.  The chair is near the tree and in front of a warm radiator.  Katniss, as a former homeless and shelter rescue kitty,  knows and appreciates a good thing.

May you and yours have a healthy, happy and quilty holiday season!

Oh it's just beautiful. I love to see an angel on top of a tree. I could spend hours looking at your ornaments.

Thanks, LuAnn ... Our tree is not complete without our angel. It is an antique now and has a handpainted porcelain doll face. As far as I am concerned, it is the most priceless ornament of any kind in our home.

Many of the ornaments are handcrafted ones that our children, now adults, made when they were growing up. Their faces still light up when they find one that they have been putting on the tree since they were five years old. A few of these were not even intended as oranments but we put a hanger on them and added them to our tree that year and now they are favorites. These, too, are priceless.

Our Christmas Tree Gathering is a family tradition that I hope my children will carry on ... <3
