Scrappy Winter Mystery Quilt Top Pieced!
This top is the first of a four part quilt made from the The Quilt and Needle Winter "Quilt for all Seasons" Pattern . It started as a Mystery Quilt Weekend on the snowy last weekend in December. This pattern will be released soon as a whole quilt pattern on Quilt Woman site and the Q&N Online Shop.
Today I am joining in again on the fun at the WIP Wednesday Linky Pary at Freshly Pieced. Click on the link to see all the beautiful quilts coming together in the linkys on this site!
Today is snowing again in my quilty corner of the world. Just the perfect weather for staying inside and finishing my scrappy snowflake top.
winter wonderland in my backyard today
Since this will not be quilted yet as I will be making the other four seasons to make the king size quilt from this pattern, I have decided to hang and display this top for awhile to warm the all in my dining room.
I added a piece of batting to the back and a temporary hanging tube at the top so I can enjoy my wintery quilt top. I had to pin up the bottom of the top so that it will not get rusty from the radiator that warms my house. The quilt is made with many of the same fabrics as in my Snowpeople Table Runner. Some of the scraps from the table runner went into the scrappy setting blocks, which were improv blocks made entirely of random scraps.
I have also done some more sewing on my
Paint Chip Challenge project
Now it is time to work on a more pressing WIP. I have to finesse the pattern I am trying to make for my project for the Dare To Dresden Blog Hop from Sew We Quilt. Best get sewing!
