June Goal Quilting Progress

 Helix Table Mat

I have taken a short break from the purple wedding table quilts
to work on my June Goal for

The small table mat made with the extra block for the Helix Table Runner and Mat that is for my oldest son's birthday is done. This was my "practice" project, the one I always like to make to see how my thread, batting and quilting choices may work on the larger quilt. I like the blue/green/yellow variegated thread and I added a another layer of batting for the runner to make the quilting stand out a little better.  I am also changing up the quilting in the center for the runner.

I have added narrow black borders to the outside of the runner.

 Ready to Quilt!

This is looking great! You are making the world very beautiful - table by table :)

Hmmm, I like that, "design opportunities." :) I like that you do a test block to make sure your thread and quilting ideas match. A good tip!

That looks great. I'm slightly jealous of your curves working properly and not looking like the bunched up mess I normally end up with.

What an amazing blog. wow. Love the background music, or is that just happening in my life? Your project is sweet. Happy sewing. Looking forward to the finish.
