This is Block #1 of what I am calling my
"Snowman in the Cabin Window" Quilt.
It is inspired by
that was posted in the
"Quilting" Face Book Group that I like on FB.
Here is the basic block without embelishments.
This block measures 10.5" unfinished.
To determine the cutting instructions I worked it out as I went.
Here are my handwritten sketch.
For this block I pressed all seams outward and pressed and trimmed and squared as I sewed.
I cut an applique nose from orange solid.
Used a dab of glue to anchor it in place and machine appliqued.
Found some black buttons in my button jar for a face and hand-stitched them in place.
Sew ... do you want to build a snowman? ... ;)
Block 2 Coming Soon!!
