Here is my first block!
Erin @ Sew at Home Mummy
is hosting this 12 month quilt along ...
"Classic Meets Modern" feels like a place I find myself these days.
So I decided I had to join in and see what I might learn
if I challenged myself to make these blocks.
I am hoping for a scrappy quilt using some mini charm packs that I have, low-volume background prints and some Kona Solids and whatever other fabrics
that may come along that want to jump in these blocks.
The mini charms are ...
Road 15 by Sweetwater
and this will determine my color scheme for this quiltalong.

Lovely block, I really like the low volume look! I may have to make another
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I wish I would have thought to use some of those mini-packs. I think I may have to dig some out for future blocks.
ReplyDeletenice block,
ReplyDeleteI wish there would be a place to order time. I would love to do so many things and Im just dont have the time.
Wonderful classic block!
ReplyDeleteI love how this appears as stained glass. It's beautiful, Pat :D
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty block! I love the colors. :)
ReplyDeleteI received your friend request via e-mail, and tried to accept it, but i must be doing something wrong. It's not a snub, i promise. I didn't realize i was a no-reply blogger until you pointed it out! I still have so much blog stuff to learn. Hugs to you and your kitties!
It's looks fantastic with the different background fabrics.
ReplyDeleteJudy Laguidara's name is popping up in front of me again a lot lately. The first quilt guild meeting I ever went to, I sat by her. I knew a couple of other people (sort of) and I just looked for a friendly face and saw her, knitting socks. Before I moved to Comanche, I passed her house twice a day...I lived about 9 miles further south than her, but I had no idea who she was back then. After meeting her, I heard her on Pat Sloan's radio show. That was kind of cool ! Have fun with her design wall Monday !
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your bear paw block BTW ! Really fab fabrics !
ReplyDeleteI am. Going to to have to splurge on a Kona solid charm pack I have done bear paw blocks in several quilts and really like it but I love it done in the solids. I have seen so many pretty quilts in the last week. Hope all is well
