Trick or Treat!

Welcome to my stop on the

Halloween Haunts Blog Hop

I made this trick or treat bag for my grand-darling Everly.


Everly is getting ready for her second Halloween.

Since Everly is three thousand miles away cannot come trick or treating at Grammy's house,
Grammy is sending her trick or treats in the mail.

Everly loves her "Goodnight Moon" board book and her mom and dad read
this to her every night before she goes to sleep.


So I thought she would love this "Goodnight Goon" board book.

I also got her a cute trick or treat card that ... um ... plays music when you open it.

I am sure her mom and dad will be thrilled with the spooky sounding card ... ;)

I decided to make her a fabric trick or treat bag to hold these treats.




I have had these bright Halloween fat quarters and fabric in my stash for some time.



Katniss helped me choose the fabrics for the bag.



I followed my own pattern idea on how to make this bag

    Those fabrics make a wonderful little bag for trick or treating. I have not seen the Goodnight Goon book, but we all love the Goodnight Moon book here.

    What a wonderful idea! My grandson is just far enough away that I don't see him as much as I would like and I often send him books. The bag would be a great addition to that!

    Too darn cute and "Goodnight Moon" is my favorite book! I usually make a quilt to go with it for baby gifts! Great minds do think alike! LOL!!!!!

    Your granddaughter is beautiful! Am sure she'll love the treats. Books are about the best thing you can give kids, IMHO. Sorry she is so far from you, but I hope you get to see her frequently.

    What a cute stash. My daughter just bought the cardboard book Goodnight Moon for her friend who is having a baby any day. love the trick or treat bag. I've thought about making fabric bags for my boss's boys. So far it hasn't happened yet.
