The 4th pattern is this two-sided texture pattern called "Vertical Ribs."

It took me a few tries and pulling out stitches to get the Front Post Double Crochet (FPDC) stitches that form the ribs all in a a line in the right places.
Now that I have figured it out I am making good progress on the first block.
