I Like Thursday ~ My Happy Place

I like adding little hand stitches to my projects.

My stitches may not be perfect but they make me happy

This is my Scrappy Heart Block

with the Chained Feather embroidered edge

that I found on the video in the above link.

My Wordless Wednesday photo this week

showed the view from my favorite stitching chair

in my living room.

I shows some of my favorite quilty things.

One of them is this scrappy heart quilt which I made prior to my blogging dates.

It is one of the first seasonal wall quilts that I remember making to warm my home.

This quilt has been in my quilt closet for the last few years,

I enjoyed taking it out and seeing it again like an old friend.

It was a free pattern ... somewhere.

It is probably circa 2012, because it has scraps of the

Tapestry Collection by Fig Tree Quilts

and is one of my favorite quilt fabric lines.

I remember that I only had a yard of the border floral

and I had to figure the exact width to cut so I had

used all of it and had an even border. It was a very odd sized cut.

The coffee bar under it is a new winter addition to my dining room.

Mr, Scrapatch loves the being close to his coffeemaker.

Also in the photo is the first two rows of my 2024 Temperature Quilt
and my snowman cookie jar so we can enjoy a cookie with our coffee or tea.

I hope you enjoyed visiting me this Thursday in my cozy quilty place.

It has turned gray again here, but our temperatures
are still above freezing in the daytime.

I hope you are safe and warm and well in your own happy place today.

Visit my friends today at

for more Thursday fun.

Happy Thursday!

  1. Such a warm and inviting room Pat. I always enjoy looking at it. Love your heart too, I find I enjoy the little embrodieries too. A flower here, a heart there... just little things, but oh so fun. Have a lovely day.
