Sunny Lanes Baby Quilt
"Easy Four Patch Quilting"
by Joanne Stauffer and Sandra Hatch
I have made this block by this name before for a block swap from
but never sewed it into a quilt.
Lots of strip and chain piecing.
I started it here
My kind of sewing!
I made one change from the pattern
I added tags to some of the four patch blocks HERE
The 47" by 59" baby quilt calls for 12 of these
Sunny Lanes Blocks.
I am sorry that I do not have a finished project to show you.
I am still working on this quilt.
I have been suffering from sinus related headaches this month.
This is not uncommon for me in late winter,
when the house has been closed up for months.
It slows me down even more than my normal snail sewing pace.
Silly me, my love of books, blog hops and quilting
had me signing up for two blog hops in the same week
and I know how slow I sew.

I can relate to the weather headaches. Love the added little tags to a baby quilt - brilliant idea.
ReplyDeletePat, sorry that you have been having sinus headaches. They are miserable. I love the colors and the fabrics. The addition of the tabs is a wonderful idea for the baby to have a grab toy, too. You will have another wonderful quilt. The baby boy will be blessed. I pray that you feel better very soon.
ReplyDeleteOh dear, this weather has us all is disarray. I too have been in a mess. Blessings that you are up at it again soon! Darling project you are working on.
ReplyDeleteI like the colours you have chosen. Hope you are feeling better soon.
ReplyDeleteHope your headaches improve. This winter has just been the worst. Such a cute quilt for a little boy and the tags are such a nice addition.
ReplyDeleteThis quilt is going to be sooooo adorable...Headaches are the worst....excedrin migraine is the best.
ReplyDeleteget better soon! great fabrics, can't wait to see it finished
ReplyDeleteI love your block and that doggie fabric is super cute! I always seem to take on more than I can sew, too.
ReplyDeletePat I love those sunny fabrics of yellow and gray together. Well the gray isn't really sunny and a bit of a contradiction I suppose, lol, but I have always liked those 2 colors together; even if I have never made anything with yellow and gray together before. Now why is that??? I just might have to find a project to make with those colors. Feel better. I know how hard it can be to feel so stifled being in a closed up house for too long.
ReplyDeleteI can identify with the sinus trouble. That is going to be a really cute quilt!
ReplyDeleteDone or not, you got a great start on this adorable project. That's what really counts!
ReplyDeleteYou're not slow, you're great! Your quilt will be awesome! Enjoy your weekend! :-) :-) angielovesgary2 atgmail dotcom
ReplyDeleteI am a weather headache girl too. Your definition of slow sewing....mine must be glacial slow. Cute quilt blocks and love your fabrics.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun fabrics your using. It's going to be just adorable when your done. Take care, and I hope this winter is about over. I think we have all had just about enough of it all! LOL!!
ReplyDeleteThis is going to be a great piece when its done. I love the idea of the tags. Hope you are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteLove your color choices. This will be very sweet when done. Hope you are feeling better soon.
ReplyDeleteOh yes! That is going to be so pretty!
ReplyDeleteYour colours are beautiful and the little tags are a great addition. Good luck getting it finished :)
ReplyDeleteIt's looking like a nice quilt, love the tags idea, that's a cool addition. I can sympathize with those weather ills, they are so not fun. I can't wait to see this finished but you take care that's the most important thing to do... Hugs
ReplyDeleteThat's going to be a really cute quilt. Good luck with the finish!
