Welcome to Stitch sew & Show ~ 2022 ~ Week 5
It is February already!
I do not have much to show this week.
I have also been following some of the lovely free embroidery stitch alongs for
National Embroidery Month @ DMC
This pattern is by
Meg Hawkey @ Crabapple Hill Studio
There are very helpful
Crabapple Hill ~ Instruction Videos Here
These blocks use a color tinting technique that I have never done.
To learn how to do this watch Meg's
Crayon Tinting Coloring Technique Video Here

This is the block for Day 1.

Here is today's block.
I think these birdhouses are adorable.
I have watches the coloring technique video and I have plenty of crayons and the other items needed to try coloring these blocks.
However, I am still feeling very unsure about my artistic ability to do this.
I am thinking of maybe trying a combination of fabric applique and embroidery.
Hush-Hush by Riley Blake Designs
to which I could add fabrics from my stash
and my DMC embroidery threads.
I am still in the "thinking about this" part of the endeavor.
I am posting all the links, because I know there are many very talented
people who sometimes read and join in this weekly linky party
who may be interested and want to stitch along.
Please show and tell here if you do!
Please show us what you have been working on this week.
Thank you to all who join the party!
Sweet crayon embroideries!!! I like your llama floss holders, too!!!
ReplyDeleteThose colored/embroidered designs are very pretty!
ReplyDeleteThose are cute embroidery patterns Pat. I'm sure your's will be lovely, which ever way you do them. I've seen the crayon methods, but have never tried it myself yet. Have fun with them! And have a lovely day.
