Today is also

I Like Thursday @ Not Afraid of Color

This week LeeAnna asked us,

"Do you like to sing for yourself, or others?"

The answer for me is:

Yes, I sing for myself and only myself.

If others hear me ... eh ... um ... not my problem.

I have a funny story about this from when I was 20 something and living at home.

I used to listen to my music in my room with my headphones on.

Yes, they had headphones in the 1970s.

One night I was listening to this song and tried to hit the high notes at the end:

Take Me to the Limit ~ Lead Vocals Randy Meisner

My mother banged on the wall and asked me from the other room if I was okay.

I said, "Yes, Mother."

She muttered something like, "Didn't sound like it."

I laughed.

She muttered something like, "What are you on?"

I laughed again and said, "Nothing, Mother."

She went away muttering angrily some thing such as,

"Did not sound like it. I think you have a problem."

I can still laugh about it.

So ... as I said ... if anyone hears me when I sing,

that is their problem.

They can go away muttering.

Just so you know ...

I am am still singing along to this song.

Today while trying "one more time"

my kitty Nutmeg can over meowing to ask if I was okay

... or to ask me to stop hurting her ears.

I just laughed and played it again.

Nutmeg says, "It's all okay, Mommy."

Go ahead, my friends...

sing along with me

... or not ...

your call.

Anyway ... one more time ...

Have  a Happy Thursday!
