Stitch Sew & Show ~ Week 8

Welcome to Week 8 of my Stitch Sew & Show Linky Party.

Thank you to all who have been linking up.

I do not have a finished project this week, even though I have been sewing everyday.

These are my first three blocks for the

Riley Blake Block Challenge 2021 ~ Blogged Here

This is only a 16 week challenge, so I am hoping I can stay on track.

The 4th Block was added yesterday to All RBD Block Patterns Here

and I hope to be sewing this block today.

Sometimes I like to sew - along.

Yesterday I made the first two blocks for March for my Temperature Quilt.

In January, I started my House Block Temperature Quilt Here

We have had another blast of artic air and two very windy days.

The lavender door represents a wind chill factor of more than 10 degrees.

The roof color is for the high temperature of the day

and the house color is for the low temperature.

I have to sew a few blocks for February and a few for January to catch up to date.

Here is the cutting for my

My Temperature House Block Tutorial Here

There are many little house blocks out there

but sometimes I like to design my own blocks

so I can sew them my way.

Here is another block I drew up on paper and sewed my way.

It is a 6.5" unfinished Streaming Star Block.

I may also post a tutorial for how I sew this block.

Are you interested?

Do you like to design your own blocks?

What are you working on this week?

Hi, Pat,
I'm hopping over from Sharon's blog and wanted to tell you how clever I think your house block temperature quilt block is. I've not done a temperature quilt and probably won't because I wouldn't be able to keep up. I haven't seen anything like your house block using 3 temperature measures before. It will make a charming quilt.

Pat your RBD blocks are so pretty. It’s going to be a happy quilt once finished. Love the houses for your temperature quilt.
