A rainbow of color always makes me happy.
These fabrics are for a new quilt that I am (finally) making for 2021.
A "Temperature Quilt" has been on my To-Do List for a few years.
A "Tiny House Quilt" has been on this list even longer.
I have decided to check off all three of these boxes in one quilt.
I bought this jelly roll for the "sky" color for all my house blocks.
This is my color plan for my Temperature House Quilt 2021.
This idea is not my own.
I was inspired by a beautiful House Temperature Quilt in a Facebook Group to which I belong:
You have to be a member to see the quilts, but joining is easy
and there is a lot of inspiration in the photos.
Here are the houses so far for this week.
These blocks measure 4.5" by 5.5"
I am making this quilt my by adding my own twists
I am making the door colors reflect the weather:
yellow for sun, gray for rain, white for snow.
I also added a light lavender door for "wind chill factor"
of more than 10 degrees.
The temperature is starting to drop more and temperatures
are sinking into a polor vortex for the next few days.
I now have lots of little temperature houses all in a row.
Because I was still setting up my plan and finding fabrics, I did not start this quilt until last week and I am currently working on catching up with these blocks so I have the month complete by the 31st.
I have also been finding lots of colors to love in future quilts, like
My Favorite Color Is Moda @ FQS Blog
You do need
My Favorite Color is Moda Pre-Printed Panel
for this quilt.

I've done two temperature quilts - they are fun. I love the little houses and your spin on the doors adds an extra element. Great colors!
Cute houses. So are the roofs one temperature, and the house color another , like the high and low. Love the door idea.
Hi,
I've had a temperature quilt on my list for ages..but never seem
to get one started...tooo many quilts zooming around in my head.
Love your little houses. Have a great day!
I'll enjoy watching your little houses quilt grow - what a fun idea! I can see why you are drawn to that Moda fabric, too! Cute kitties!
I love temperature quilts. This one will look cool!
Hi Pat! I love this combination of bucket list quilts all compiled into one project. And the color of the door to reflect the temperature?! Fabulous. I can't wait to see this as it progresses throughout the year. ~smile~ Roseanne
Sweet houses for your temperature quilt. A few inches of snow is nice and a great excuse to stay in and sew. However, when it gets SO VERY COLD I have a problem with that. Hope you're able to thaw out a little this week!
I'm finally doing a temperature quilt this year too. But no houses, just rows of vertical blocks with high and low. I've made a Village of tiny houses too and such fun.
