Why "Y" Seams?

There are "y" seams in my current quilty project.

These are not true "y" seams as they have a

regular seam on one side.

Is there a name for this?

A "k" seam, perhaps?

Whatever they are called, they are not my favorite thing to sew

Many "y" seams.

What was I thinking? !!!!!

~

Do you like to sew "y" seams?

If so, please tell me why.

Aww, sorry you are having a tough time with your Y seams sweetie. They have never bothered me, it's just another seam. I have a pretty popular post (from 2011) that deal with these seams, not sure if it will be helpful to you or not, as you know how to do them. lol But here it is, if you want to read it https://mtnmommy2.blogspot.com/2011/01/set-in-seams.html. Have a great day my Friend.

I don’t really mind Y seams. I try to mark my 1/4 inch so I don’t sew too far. I think I hate flying geese more than Y seams. I struggle sewing the geese together nicely. Mine try to fly crooked, LOL!

I don't mind, but I always mark where my 1/4 inch too.
