Looking Forward

The new year has kicked off 2017 with

I am not participating right now but I hope to do so later this year.

The New Year is always a time of reflection and renew and repurpose.

Right now I am counting the days until a laser eye procedure that will hopefully
improve and prolong my slowly declining vision.
I have written of my eye issues in the past so this is not really news
and I will not go into private details.
I look forward with thanks for all my blessings, large and small.
I am hopeful.

My quilty place is happy today even though I am not sewing.

Thanks to

who has made her own beautiful quilt inspired by my

and has entered it in

There are many, many inspiring projects in these links.

Thank you, Erin, for sharing!

  1. I wish you all the best with the procedure. Hopefully, you will have a quick recovery with excellent results.

  2. Best wishes for a totally successful procedure to restore your vision. There are a few other quilty bloggers who have written recently about needing eye surgery this year for cataracts etc. Just know you are not alone and all of us who are of a certain age are wishing you well, knowing just how fragile these human bodies are, and how much we have taken for granted in our youth.

  3. all the best with the laser treatment had it about 18 years ago. Good to see a spiders web quilt thinking of doing another one muyself as mine has faded with the sun mst be getting hotter as have not had a problem till 2 years ago and see my curtains have also faded.

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a kind word! :-)
