There were several fabric line that really appealed to me.

I like to click the "Notify Me When In Stock" links so I can make a decision
as to whether of not I will be tempted.
I rarely pre-order fabric,
but I will be watching for the  Apricot & Ash panel and may pre-order.

Is machine applique supposed to be a quick method?

Not when I am stitching it.

I set my machine to a crawl to get the curves right.

The top fabric is a woven.

I have never fused and appliqued a woven before this project.

I lengthened my side stitch and shortened my straight stitch

on my blanket stitch. 

Sew far ... Sew good ... Sew slow.

Tomorrow I will resume.

Applique Time

Time to get my machine applique skills up to par.

I am working on a new pattern that is my March Blog Hop project.

Here is a sneak peek.

The two neutral fabrics are wovens. 

I have never appliqued the cut edge of a woven before,

but it seams to be working.

Looking forward to showing you this one soon!

I love everything about this:

the pattern, the colors, the fabric flair barnboard aida cloth,

the needle minder box and magnet and needle ...

everything needed to stitch this project 
... and a bag to carry it while I am stitching.

The new Cross Stitch Key 

looks like a very helpful ruler, too.

I am looking forward to these surprise packages four times in the next year.

This was what was in the package ... I Love This!!!!!

It was a collaboration by two of my favorite designers

who seamlessly combined fat quarters from their new fabric collections:

Summer Sweet by Sherri McConnell @ A Quilting Life

and

Canning Day by Corey Yoder @ Coriander Quilts

for a match made in quilty heaven.

This is the enclosed insert.

It came with a new pattern from each designer created specifically 

for this special fabric bundle.

Each pattern cleverly calls for a fat eight of each print.

Sew I can make both quilts

with this bundle by using coordinating fabrics.

There is also a Finishing Kit available in each of their Etsy shops 

if I want to make the quilt as pictured on the pattern.

but I plan to sew from my considerable stash.
