Back to POTC Stitching

I am back to slow stitching my POTC blocks!

I took a break this summer to garden and vacation, play with my new baby kitty
and just enjoy the great outdoors.
I only completed a few blocks.
I need to take photos and count how many I have done.

This is the block I am working on now which is one I laid out from
fabric in my stash at the beginning of summer.

It is slow going as I am only working on this block when my machine is not whirling away.

I have sew many projects I want to sew.

Maestro is sew very helpful ... ;)

This little baby kitty follows me around and constantly cuddles up
like I am her new momma kitty.

So cute!

Sneak Peak!

These fabulous fabrics are

"On the Wing" by Abi Hall for

and have been in waiting in my stash for the "right" project to come along.

I am sew happy to say that project arrived this month!

Master Quilty Kitty Katniss
has approved this fabric selection!

Time to sew!

Apprentice Quilty Kitty Maestro
has a lot to learn.
These little kitty feet were trying to catch the fabric going under
my presser foot.
Sew I had to take a break from sewing.

Baby kitty has gone to take a nap.

Time to sew!

I am loving this WIP!

Right now it is as hush hush as mama's machine
when it is time for baby quilty kitty to take her nap.

Looking forward to sharing more photos soon!

July Surprises

July has brought many surprises,

like this wonderful "Vintage Chic"

and ...

 ... this little shadow ...

Now who can this be?

As you know,
crossed the rainbow bridge in March.
Not a day goes by I do not think of her.
We have all have been very sad.
Although I will always miss her,
it was time to find a new kitty to love.

So my hubby and I went to the

in nearby Salem, NH,
where there were many pretty kitties to play with ...

and this little cutie,
just three months old,
who conducted her way right into my hubby's arms
and our hearts.

We could not leave without this baby kitty.

Meet The Maestro!

Maestro is dressed to the nines in a black tuxedo and white cravat.

Maestro settled in right away in her new home

and is very busy
learning to be a quilty kitty.

Maestro is a natural when it comes to
inspection and testing.

How does The Katniss feel about her new buddy?

Katniss is very purry and happy and playful again.

Maestro is very cuddly and her
favorite place to sleep is curled up against my arm
in the same spot that Butterfly always slept for so many years.

It is a little uncanny how many expressions, mannerisms, habits and haunts
that were always Butterfly's own
that Maestro has adopted.

I know Butterfly is smiling.

So am I.
