On My Design Wall ~ Girl + Quilt

 Girl + Quilt

A few days ago I saw one of the quilts in the making by

... and I had to make one!

The tutorial for the original quilt
can found  Here

This is a Valentine's Day quilt and it is a gift.
I wanted strawberries and chocolate, but did not have enough pink/brown
fat quarters and scrap fabrics in my stash.  So pink and yellow flowers will do.

My quilt is little girl sized at 52" by 60"
This one is made from 4.5" squares,
13 rows wide and 15 rows long,
195 total squares.

The layout key is to start with the + in the center
and work your way out.
This quilt top was fun and easy to make.

Katniss was very helpful when I was trying to decide which squares to include.
Sometimes she decided for me.
When I leave the room, I come back to find squares all over the floor.
Now if only I could teach the cat to use the machine.
Then my quilts would be done much faster.
Of course, then Katniss would want all the credit and I would have to rename my blog
"Life in the Catpatch."

Linking up with all the pretty WIPs on

Time for Katniss and I to quilt!

Looks great. If you get your cat to use the machine, you have it made. lol

Can't our kitties be the biggest helpers? What would we do without them? I love the colors you chose.

Lots of lovely pink and florals! I'm doing lots of pinky girly projects at the moment and absolutely loving it - a great way to cheer up the winter.
Love, Muv

This is a beautiful quilt. I think I've run across the pattern and thought it would make up nicely and it does!
Thanks for stopping by Queenie's wee blog.
Have a great day.
Always, Queenie
