Today was a bright, sunny and brisk spring day.
My tulips turned toward the sun and so did I.
I was able to enjoy the yard awhile today
until the cool breeze sent me inside for a cup of tea.
I have never seen one in my yard.
They breed in our area but usually are only seen in meadow woods.
I am feeling honored by his now frequent visits to our feeders.
In the same family as the cardinal, he likes the safflower seeds
we put out for his cousins.
Their lady birds look like plump brown sparrows.
I have heard to birds but have not identified the female.
in sometimes in unexpected places.
I planted blue ones, too, the year my Butterfly kitty crossed the rainbow bridge.
They remind me that the love of a kitty is forever.

Lovely Pat, glad you got some time in the sun.
You did a marvelous job on the bees in the Simple Stitches piece, Pat. That will be lovely.
Meanwhile, your garden is so far ahead of mine and such a treat to see. Fresh air is so good for us.
Isn't nature just beautiful? I enjoyed walking through your yard with you!
Love your tulips! We've been getting a lot of goldfinches, too!
You've summed up these spring days so well - sunny with a bit of chill, lovely flowers and birds. Glad you were visited by the Rose-Breasted Grosbeak - aren't they beautiful!
