Appli-Play!

I am calling this "Appli-Play."

For a quilter who was once wrote many times that I was afraid of applique,

I have come a long way.

Tutorial Coming Soon ... :-)

I am playing with these fabrics today.

This is Petals and Pots by Riley Blake Designs

I am also playing with the small cut off pieces.

I have a sample project done that I hope to be sharing next week.

This pretty fabric is making a gloomy gray day bright and happy.

May your sewing place be bright and happy today.

Sunday Scrappy Sewing

Sunday was a scrappy sort of day here in The Scrapatch.
While the rain dripped outside, I played inside with the pretty fabric.

Today these pretty new fabrics called to me.

These pretties are

I cut all the fabrics for a new quilt.

The I decided to do some improv sewing with some of the smallest scraps.

Soon I had this mini quilt made from the scraps from the box.

The I picked out some more scraps and sewed some more.

An hour later I had a finished an improv mini quilt.

I found a scrap piece of batting and some of my older Tula Pink scraps
for the back and binding.

This mini quilt is Quilty Kitty Approved!

What have you been sewing this weekend?

May you and yours be well and safe <3

30/30 ~ No Rules Sewing

30/30

playing with fabric ...

rulers and a rotary cutter in my hand ...

no rules ...

just an idea or an image in my head...

no pattern ...

(well ... unless I decide to use one)

no rules here

so I can change them anytime I want

my idea of sewing fun!

Sarah @ Berry Barn Designs

has started a fun new linky party

30/30 Sewing Challenge

So I am going to play  ...

... with the fabric!

My 30 minutes today was cutting these charms into random width strips
and sewing them together is random order.

... just keep sewing ...
