Enjoying Quilt Market from Home

My favorite find was this post of the Tilda fabric booth

Look at the beautiful blue bird blocks!
The bird block is pieced!!
Oh, my ... that quilting!!!!!

I will visiting
Tilda's World
online often in anticipation of this pattern release.
Maybe it will be a free one.
If it is in a book, no problem.

I buy Tilda books just to read and look at the pictures
with a cup of tea.

This comes as no surprise as I do love everything Tilda, but there were so many
interesting sites in all the photos of quilt market.
Sew many fabrics I want to get my fingers on.
My life is sew happy.

May you sew sew happy, too  ... <3

Do you have a favorite find from quilt market?

Long Sewing Weekend ~ Day #3 ~ A Challenge Complete

The top is done for my Peace Tree Tablerunner is done!

Just in time to complete the challenge

@

I have had this fabric for almost two years.
This was the first Tilda Fabric I ever purchased
because I fell in love with it when I saw

 I sewed this layout version.

The trees were very fun to sew.

Nutmeg was my ever present, ever helpful sewing chair buddy
while I was working on this project.
We started it yesterday and completed the top today.
The top does not need to be quilted to complete this challenge.

This project is quilty kitty inspected and approved.
It is not perfect, but I am happy with how this is looking.

The kit I purchased was actually for a larger version
so I have plenty of fabric in the kit to put back in stash
and I also have a few odd pieces of Tilda Cottage
to sew one of the larger quilt layouts or different project.

Looking forward to finding the time to quilt this one.

Sew my Long Sewing Weekend has been a successful one.

This challenge was sponsored as part of the

I was not going to purchase the new collection

I am sew blessed!

I received these Fat Quarter bundle of Old Rose and Tilda Soft Solids

These fabrics are so soft and lovely.

Summer In the Midst of Winter

“In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer.
And that makes me happy.
For it says that no matter how hard the world pushes against me,
within me, there’s something stronger – something better,
pushing right back.”

This has been a favorite quote
since I was in college.

It is bitterly cold in the northeast
and a major ice and snow storm is coming this weekend.

I am safe and warm and snug and counting my blessings.
and enjoying the fabric
in my quilty home.

The fabric flowing through my fingers
takes me to different places and other seasons
and fills my world with color and with joy.

Today this new summery fabric is on my way to me!

I pre-ordered the collection bundle from

Julie @ The Intrepid Thread

where I first discovered Tilda and now buy most of my Tilda Fabrics.

Julie is a joy to do business with.
I am not affiliated in any way with this shop.

I am just a very happy customer.

I want to sew one of these cute

and this

is sew cute!

Okay ... yes ...  I want to sew it all.

Of course, I cannot buy it all.

The "Scrapflower Quilt" had me at the name!

When I was browsing the pretty patterns
my hubby walked over and pointed right at the same blue
quilt I was plotting to make.
This blue is his favorite color.
I said I found the background fabric,
but it was expensive.
Hubby said get it now while you can.
My hubby is fabric enabler.
I want to make a warm summery quilt
for hubby and I to snuggle under
in the midst of winter.

I am lucky to have some other
Tilda Fabrics in my stash.
Any of these patterns would also be adorable in 30's fabrics
or any pretty floral.

Which is your favorite free pattern for this collection?

Will you be sewing summer in winter?

I love pumpkins and everything fall so when I saw this hop
I just had to in join the fun.

I purchased two books and this beautiful Bird Pond fabric via preorder from

I am just a very happy customer.

This fabric pumpkin pattern is from the
Sewing by Heart book.

I cut templates because I plan to make more of these.

Here are the pieces to my pumpkin.

This type of sewing is a new challenge for me.

Some of it is machine and the finishing was by hand.

I could not quite get the cute little curl in the stem but
I am very happy with this project.

I really enjoyed this process.

I love to learn new things.

I am happy that I have a finished project for you.
Life has been happening here
and I have had much more limited time for sewing and blogging lately.

My sewing is my happy place but
I have been visiting lots of doctors offices lately
and that is going to be continuing for some time.

This has caused me to cut back on my quilty commitments.

Before you go I have another project
I would like to share with you.

There is a bright orange pumpkin in this photo
so I am counting it in the hop ...

I Love Fabric~ Sunday Stashing

The newest of the new!

Sunset Harbor from the Charleston Collection by Ami Sinibaldi @ Nana Company

I have been letting my fingers do the shopping on my computer recently.

I rarely purchase just released fabric but I could not resist these beauties

when I found them while I was shopping the sale

The Intrepid Thread

These colorful lovelies are from two of my favorite designers,

Carolyn Friedlander

and

Kate Spain

There is nothing for a fabric lover that compares to
receiving a box from

The Intrepid Thread Shop

The fabric comes all tucked in white tissue and tied with a fabric bow
and always includes a small square or two of gift fabric.

Katniss loves this experience, too, and plays with the ribbon and chases the
balled up tissue paper around the room.

Another recent acquisition was this ...

beautiful bundle of Alison Glass!

I shopped in Bernie's wonderful new

This was another fun package to open and I will definitely
be shopping here again.

This cute Quilting Queen decal is a new addition, too!

I purchased it from my creative, crafty daughter in her
start-up etsy shop,

Now it will be easy to locate my computer in the airport bins!

Maybe I should ask her for a custom "Fabric Love" design ... :-)
