C is for Contrast and Color Value
Color Value is also an important element in quilting
as enough contrast must exist to make the block pattern emerge.

I love bright colors and textural prints in my quilts.

Charms are 5" squares of fabrics,
Traditionally, charms were cut from scraps and sewn into quilts
where no two pieces of fabric were the same.
Today fabric manufacturers cut 5" squares of fabric from new collections
and sell them as "Charm Packs"

Today in the modern quilt world there are many patterns designed
specifically for these packs of 5" squares.
Many are available for free.

A lot of C, mastering color is a real challenge for quilters, and artists. Love your cats, too ;))
Quilting Patchwork & Appliqué
I thought you would talk about your cats and I was not disappointed. They are adorable. Colour is so important for a quilter and it is so complex sometimes. I still have a lot to learn about it. Thanks for the links. ;^)
Ahhh la couleur.... Toujours une grande discussion avec mon Dh car nous n avons pas la même perception.. Elles sont splendides avec le printemps qui arrive !
I would love to be able to mix colours well, but as I'm colour blind it's a vain hope. But I love your kitties :)

Your quilt is lovely, so soft and pretty. I use a lot of those color tools, and there are some online resources like Color Seeds. As always seeing the cat crowd is great.
