These are teeny tiny HSTs cut from
"the other side of the seam"
when I sewed
I trimmed them to 1.5" HSTs and made ...
... a little row of Broken Dishes Blocks
I also made another Postage Stamp Block
for the
So this is my scrappy happiness for the weekend.
I have no idea what I am making with the row.
It is 2.5" by 11.5"
Maybe I will make some more rows from my cut-off, cast-off HSTs
and make a mini quilt.
Do you have drawers and boxes full of those HST cut-aways?
Or do you just toss them away?
What do you do with these bits of blocks?
For now I have put this little row next to the block it came from.
Maybe they will end up in the quilt together somehow.
I like this thought ... :) Pat

You've got some really great BROWN and pink scraps. Hope you are having SEW much fun taking part in the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!! (I know that I am!)
I save all my scraps, have just made a doll quilt with them but cannot reveal it on my bog till 29th. Love what you have done with these tiny ones.
Oh so tiny Pat! And yes, I save mine too. Not sure if I'll ever use them, but there they are. lol
I've taken those itty bitty triangles and made doll quilts for granddaughters from them. It's so difficult to throw away even the smallest bit that might be usable for applique or HST's.
Mine are tucked everywhere! I'd be hard pressed to find them all at the same time.
Such a great way to use your scraps! (I save all of my sewing scraps for crazy quilting...)
Seems like you have a great start on scrappy quilting. The assortment in your brown block is fun, and the tiny ones with such cheerful colors should not go to waste. Welcome to RSC16.
When I first started quilting, I would throw my scraps away. But now, I toss them in a basket for later. My oh my, you have been very busy this past weekend.
