I Like Thursday # 111 ~ Fall Stitching, Snacking and Christmas Shopping

Welcome to "I Like Thursday" in the Scrapatch.

Today I need to play catch-up on my

October Halloween Stitch Along @ Pine Needles

I was busy with other things and am planning to make a variation from yesterday's little devil block.  Devils are not to my personal taste.

I love today's leaf wreath, though!

Once a week I Like to join my friends, the

I Like Thursday Bloggers @ Not Afraid of Color

to share what has brought smiles to our faces this week.

The biggest smile is having my Janome humming happily along again

after her In Home Spa Day Yesterday.

The tension issue is resolved for awhile.

Apparently though, the tension discs in my unit are wearing out.

I hope to be able to replace these in the future.

I love this machine.  We have made so many quilts together.

My kitties have been very helpful with my cross stitching this week.

Katniss chased the spider on my project bag and as soon as Nutmeg arrived she jumped onto the living room chair.

Nutmeg thought this was a very good arrangement and as soon as she saw Katniss settled on the back of the chair in the background, Nutmeg settled onto my cloth.
I took a break at this point.

Nutmeg came right over and settled on my lap.

Katniss is on the back of the chair.

When I re-settled Nutmeg onto the warm spot on the chair

and went back to stitching ...

... then Maestro arrived to help.

Maestro gets her paw into everything

and even caught a llama and tried to chew on its head.

When Maestro appeared to take a more supervisory role,

I tried to go back to stitching.

The next photo, had I a spare hand to take it, would have been me gently prying the black floss still attached to the needle out of her very strong jaws.

My kitties and I do everything together.

After that I took a snack break, which included this ...

Mmmmmm ... I Like!

I like it on a whole wheat english muffin with hummus and sunflower seeds.

I like it on the muffin with a spoonful of Blackberry Jam, too.

I like all kinds of blackberry jam.

I buy it online at Johnson Berry Farm in Olympia, Washington.

I tasted their jams at a Farmer's Market when I visited my daughter when she was living in that area a few years back.

Now I order every year for blackberry season.

The Blackberry Cobbler one is new to me and it has fall spices in it.

I have a few of their other blackberry jams to enjoy this fall, too.

Yummy!

I know it is too early for Christmas decorations,

but it is never too early to think about all that makes me feel cozy during the winter holidays ... and at the top of the list is family.

So when my daughter sent me this photo I felt warm and cozy and happy.

It is a preview photo for the new crafty goodness she is making to sell at craft fairs and in her etsy shop.

My Girl has reopened her etsy shop ...

The Cozy Forrest

... with some adorable new items to make my holiday spirit bright.

These little pillow ornaments have a removeable pillow insert and cute holiday fabrics on the back.  I will be buying the lot to decorate my tree, put in stockings and use as gift tags on special gifts.

If you love these ornaments, put them in your cart but do not buy them until October 10th, at 12:00am Eastern US Time as they will be going on a special 20% sale until October 12th.

Etsy is asking its retailers to participate

in a 20% Off Sale for all Holiday Ornaments and

The Cozy Forrest will be participating.

You may find other Etsy Shops participating, too.

In the meantime, I see that the price has been reduced this year on some of her merchandize, like the cute Flour Sack Towels in her shop.

These make lovely and useful gifts.

I hope all of you are having a Happy Thursday full of smiles!

Hi Pat! Oh, I enjoy the pictures of your helpful kitties so much. I am so allergic to cats but certainly do enjoy them from afar. The jam looks yummy and I wish your daughter great success with her Etsy shop! ~smile~ Roseanne
