Scrappy Blue Magnitude Star Block

It is Scrap Happy Saturday,

Today I dug out my blue scraps between the thunderstorms
and sewed a block for blue month.

I started this quilt with a red block Here

Scrap Happy Saturday ~ Settling Into My Sewing Corner

Scrap Happy Saturday Blocks

for my

Week 14  Block for

Blocks may also be found and posted
 Here on their Facebook Site

I am trying to get back to my routine in my new old sewing corner.

I have been spoiled by my sewing room,
which will soon be my quilting room.

I am hoping that the routine will help me feel more settled into sewing.

I am sewing aqua scraps because it is "Aqua Month" at the

grab button for SoScrappy

Tomorrow is a family day and we will be gathering
at my younger son's home for his first Easter there.
We have many blessings to celebrate together.

Next week my new longarm may be coming home!

May you and yours have a Happy Hoppy Weekend!

Scraps 'n' Cats

It is a sunny scrappy Saturday in my Scrapatch.

I love searching my scraps and such for the right pieces to these puzzles.

Maestro says "Yummy fabrics!"

Nutmeg says," How about these scraps over here?"

Some of those are for another scrappy project.

This is a sneak peek.

I am sew happy about this project,
I cannot wait to show more,
but it is for a blog hop
later in the month.

I love playing with my scraps any day,
but my favorite scrappy day is

52 Blocks in 52 Weeks ~ Sew Scrappy!

Maze ~ 6.5" Block

I am sewing along with the

Blocks may be found and posted
 Here on their Facebook Site

Because these are 6.5" unfinished blocks,
the cutting calls for very small pieces.
So this is a perfect scrap project!

This block used up scraps that were 1.5" strips.

For this quilt, Nutmeg and I have decided to use the
dotty fabric that has been in our stash for years,
bought on sale one time when "everything dots"
was 40% off at our local quilt shop.

These are the colors in this fabric,
although I will use all colored scraps for my blocks.

I need to make the first three weeks' blocks to catch up.

I hope to so that later tonight,

On Saturdays I like to play with my scraps
with the lovely quilters at

where it is yellow month.

So used us some of my small yellow scraps for

#52blocks52weeks

Hope to see you sewing along!

It's a Rainy Scrappy Summer Saturday ...

... a good day to sew!

I am sewing along today with the lovely people at

SoScrappy

Rainbow Scrap Challenge 2018

where it is orange month.

I love orange!

I once used the orange Ninja Turtle as a reason to paint my sons walls a neon orange.
The boys loved Ninja Turtles at the time and orange was the  best match
for the curtains with their comic heroes
when we they got their big boys bunk beds and painted over the colorful cars and trucks that drove across the walls of their toddler years.
I think about those fun years sometimes while I sew.

I made three 6.5" blocks today

including this "transition" block which has other colors.

I have been sewing these 1.5" squares together as leaders and enders
for about a year and a half.

I started this scrap quilt Here for the RSC 2016.

I do have a stack of blocks now ... still not enough for a quilt ...

... someday ... :-)

The Scraps, Ma'am, Nothing But The Scraps ~ Part 3

I pile of purple scraps landed in my scrap basket last night ...

with a little bit of green in there, too.

I added a new bunch of 1.5" squares to my scrap basket.

Because ...

@

RSC16

I have been sewing a bunch of 1.5" squares into pairs as
leaders and enders throughout the week so I have
a good start on my Scrappy Saturday Sewing
to make my

RSC Postage Stamp Quilt

This Saturday will be another

Transition Saturday

with some of the previous colors sprinkled in for fun.

Have a happy sewing day!

It's Purple Month!

Purple Coin Block

On Saturdays, I have started joining in with the linky party at the RSC

http://superscrappy.blogspot.com

on the So Scrappy blog.

There are some wonderful scrappy projects posted in the links today!

I made Pink Coin Blocks last month for my 2013 RSC quilt.  My tutorial for this block may be found HERE or on My Tutorials at the top of the page.

Here are my purple and white scraps cut and organized for my blocks.

I got three blocks made today before I had to turn off my sewing machine for awhile.  I have some more purple scraps and plan to sew more again next Saturday.

Hope to get back to my sewing machine tonight.

For now, have a happy, scrappy day!

:)
