Saying "I Do" with Flowers by Scrapatches

A Love Blooms
Flowers by Scrapatches

This flower shaped quilt is my original design.

When I read about the

"Say it with Flowers" Blog Hop

from the lovely Madame Samm @ Sew We Quilt

I already knew what I wanted to make.

My Daughter is getting married and asked me to be "The Quilter"
for this event and make custom quilts for her reception tables.
I will be making eight of the ones above,
and two smaller ones,
and a special one for the Bride and Groom's Sweetheart Table.
Her wedding color is royal purple and she chose the fabrics ...

The Bride's Choice

This wedding table quilt measures 33 inches across.

For more pictures and the Tutorial
how I made this flower shaped Love Blooms Quilt
please click Here

The detail of the quilting on the back.

I will be adding a label in the center
with the names and wedding dates.
My daughter plans to give these to her new Mother-In-law
and Grandmother-In Law and her Bridesmaids.

My Second Flower Project

I did have to experiment with the design and when it came time to quilt
I finished this smaller quilt for her Guestbook Table first to try some of the quilting techniques, which includes a decorative stitch programmed into my machine ...

Hexagon Flower Quilt

For the Guestbook Table
We have a very special idea for the guestbook.
We are pressing the white daisy fabric in the center of the flower to freezer paper and cutting 6 inch squares
and we are going to provide fabric pens for the guest to
write their wedding wishes
so that they may be later sewed together into the backing
for her wedding quilt.

This table quilt measures 24 inches across point to point.

Many more quilts to make!

Must keep sewing!

During my breaks from work I will be enjoying all the
flowering projects in this big beautiful blog hop garden.
