Nice idea for the Temperature quilt and will be fun to see the houses transition to different colors. I made a TQ last year and had so much fun with it, but will be honest and say by the end of Fall (I did mine by Seasons starting with Winter) I was happy to see that one done. Just have to get it quilted now.

Hello!
did you continue to work on that quilt? I did not find any other pictures...
I plan to make a temperature quilt next year, starting in january, I'm still looking for a block to choose and house block is one of the selected (along with boats with 2 sails or drunkhard path or rounded flying geese...). Anyway... I'm a bit concerned by the final size of the quilt (I hand-quilt them at the end...) so I supposed that I need tiny blocks but I may be - partially - wrong!!
My question is: how big do you think this quilt with this size of block would be? Or do you make 2 tops, one (half year) for the "front" and the other (half year) for the "back", and what size will they be?
Thank you for showing us such beautiful quilts!
Have a good day!

Hello, I am responding to the last comment here as there is no email address to send a direct reply. Yes, I have continued to work on the blocks for this quilt, although I have not sewn the blocks together. I am planning one large rectangular quilt with a layout of about 18 blocks across and 20 blacks down. I am planning spacer blocks between the months, like trees or flowers, a cat, etc. Because my blocks will finish at 4" by 5," my quilt will be longer than it is wide. The approximate dimensions are 80" across and 100" down. I have a long arm that will accommodate this size of quilt. I will probably not be finishing this quilt for many more months. I hope this helps your planning. There are very many nice temperature quilt ideas in the wonderful online quilting world. If I do it again I would likely choose a flying geese or square in a square design. Happy sewing ... :) Pat
