The Neighborhood SAL ~ Block 8 Done!

My block for Day 8 of this stitch along is done!

I am following this stitch along on Facebook

I have been sketching the new block each day but have not had time to color and stitch as I have been busy with other projects.
Today's block was so cute, I had to start coloring.

I have started setting my sketched block onto a sheet of sandpaper for the coloring part of the process.  I think it helps to hold the fabric more securely
while I color and it also seems to make the crayon coloring a little denser.

Then I added the embroidery.
I am using what I have and following my own muse in some places.

Now I have two blocks completed!

This is a fun new adventure!

The embroidered blocks are so cute! I love the embroidery floss holders, I've never seen that kind before, happy stitching!

Those llamas are adorable. Using the crayons with the embroidery makes for such cute results.
